Wedding Planning Guide

So the man of your dreams has asked you to marry him, and you said yes. Now you need to start the planning stage of that perfect wedding you have always dreamed of. Where do you begin? Flowers, venues, Wedding Dress? When do you need to start organizing what? Let us give you a helping hand with our tips and tricks, the how the when and the why.

After you announce your engagement

  • Now would be the perfect time to sit down with you families and outline all the wedding plans. From themes, to colors budget to number of guests. Establish who pays for what.
  • You will need to start looking at as many reception sites as you can so you can come to a decision, and make your booking as the earlier you book, the money you may save yourselves in the end.
  • Discuss your wedding cake, and start getting quotes and costings for the cake you have decided on.
  • You should already be looking at where you are wanting to go for your honey moon. Once again booking well in advance will save you money.

Six Months to go to your Wedding

  • Order your wedding dress. Remember to leave enough time for any fitting adjustments that may need to be made
  • Choose your brides maids and groomsmen and place the orders for their outfits.
  • Book hotel rooms or make arrangements for any guests that may have a long distance to travel after the wedding.
  • Make the final arrangements for the DJ and photographer for the wedding, as well as final arrangements and bookings for the catering and the reception.
  • Honeymoon arrangements should also be nearing finalization. Contact your travel agent to make deposit payments, or ticket purchases.
